CASE STUDY: EAST SCRYNE FARM SOLAR PV INSTALLATION

East Scryne Farm – 35.2kW

Caber Energy have been appointed by W H Porter, LM Porter and A Porter to install up to 400Kw of Solar PV capacity on a number of their farms in order to reduce electricity costs and to lower carbon emissions across their highly successful enterprises. The Packhouse at East Scryne is the first installation in this project - a 44kW scheme using Power One Trio inverters and modules from German manufacturer Axitec. The scheme should save approximately 375,00kg of CO2 emissions over a 20 year period and it is predicted that more than 80% of the output will be consumed on site. The high summer electricity demand of the packhouse fits perfectly with the high output from the solar panles during the summer months and installations such as this offer farmer's the maximum financial benefit and return on investment.
